Long before the works of Adam Smith, David Ricardo and John Stuart Mills
were published, some benefits of globalisation had already been described in
the ancient Sanskrit texts of Panchatantra:
 |
In life, those experts in buying and selling
who travel to distant lands for trading
will double and triple their fortunes
through their unflagging exertions.
|
 |
Being afraid of foreign lands,
crows, deer and cowards,
all shiftless and lacking in energy,
will remain and die in their own country.
|
 |
Whatever be your task, first ask
those you should ask:
those who have experience
as well as your best interests at heart.
Then no obstacle will cross your path.
